For those living in Nashville, Tennessee, there are a variety of options to keep these populations engaged in their community. While not entirely comprehensive, below are some transportation options available to individuals in Davidson County.
What kind of public transportation is available?
WeGo Public Transit provides 26 local bus routes, eight regional bus routes and one train serving Davidson and Wilson Counties. How do I purchase a ride using WeGo?
WeGo Public Transit fares can be purchased using a reloadable card, non-reloadable cards, or through the QuickTicket app which can be easily downloaded to a smartphone. QuickTicket is not available for riders looking to schedule a paratransit ride through WeGo.

Are there any discounts I am eligible for?
WeGo public transit offers discounted fares to Medicare recipients, seniors aged 65 or older, individuals with disabilities, and youths aged 6 to 19. To receive a discount card, individuals must complete the Discount Card Application and submit required documentation. Applications must be submitted in-person at the WeGo Central Ticketing Office at 400 Dr. Martin L. Kind Jr. Blvd., Nashville TN 37219, along with a $3.00 processing fee.
I have a disability and cannot use normal public transit, what should I do?
For those living in Nashville, WeGo Access is a publicly funded paratransit service that offers specialized vans for people with disabilities who are unable to use the fixed-route transit services. Door-to-door service is available within Davidson County with a 24-hour advance reservation. Passengers unable to navigate Access services independently must travel with a personal care attendant (PCA). Eligible riders can schedule an Access ride for any reason, such as to go shopping, visit family, or to make appointments.
To use Access, individuals must first be certified eligible by completing the Access Application. Certification requires the completion of the application, documentation from a physician and an in-person interview.
Access trips cost $3.70, which is collected at each boarding. QuickTicket is currently not available for Access trips.

What options exist besides public transportation?
Senior Ride Nashville offers affordable transportation options for seniors through the efforts of volunteer drivers within the community. This service is available to those who are 60 or older, in need of transportation and who can safely transfer in and out of a vehicle with limited and have the cognitive capacity to safely use the program. Senior Rider Nashville services populations in West Nashville, Madison, Old Hickory, Donelson, Hermitage and East Nashville communities. Annual membership into the program is $25 and each round-trip cost $6. Initial registration into the program costs $49, which includes the annual fee and your first four rides. GoGO Grandparent connects seniors with on-demand rideshare options such as Uber or Lyft, without the need for a smartphone or downloaded apps. Memberships start at $14.99 a month and includes 24/7 call center access, assistance with navigating rideshare services, and monitoring before and during service. In addition to rides, GoGo Grandparent offer meal, grocery, and prescription delivery, as well as connects seniors to home services such as landscaping and handiwork.
